OFT says car insurance market is “dysfunctional”

The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) has announced it intends to refer the car insurance market, to the Competition Commission for further scrutiny. The OFT believes competition in the market is not working in the interests of consumers and is leading to inflated costs for drivers.
